Meet the Team and ObservEDU Founders

The ObservEDU Founders

We are a mother-daughter-daughter team devoted to creating software designed just for teachers.  Roll Over our pictures to learn more about us.

Michelle Elia

Founder, CEO, PhD Candidate in Education, BS in Aerospace Engineering, MBA, and Mom of 4

ObervEDU founder Michelle Elia, mother of Ariana and Nicole, has been in the industry of education for over 20 years. She is devoted to education and is completing her dissertation towards the attainment of a PhD in Education.  She started her education with a Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering (imagine having a rocket scientist for your mom). She is devoted to education and is passionate that all children deserve the chance to succeed. EduBinder was her brainchild and she continues to be the driving force in the concept and research portion of the product. Michelle is also a strong supporter of No Kid Hungry as well as many other organizations helping students in need.

Ariana Bauer

Co-Founder, Chief Software Architect, BA in Computer Science, Sister, Daughter, & Mom of 2

Ariana Bauer is the go-to-girl when it comes to all things code. She has been programming since she was a teenager and grew up in the industry, working for Michelle for over 15 years. As a mom, she sees the issues her children’s teachers are encountering to track daily behaviors and to find a solution that works. Ariana uses her passion to develop all of the features of EduBinder.  She feels that is a strong tool that will help all teachers deal with the struggles of keeping track of daily observations. Ariana wrote the initial code for EduBinder herself and is a strong supporter of organizations that support women in engineering, such as Girls Who Code.

Nicole Dobronski

Co-Founder, Consultant, Masters in Education, Teacher, Sister, and Daughter

Nicole Dobronski is a teacher at Lakewood Middle School, part of the Blue Valley School District in Overland  Park, Kansas.  Certified in Social Studies and English Language Arts, Science, and EL Education, she is currently teaching the computer science classes.   A leader in her field, Nicole is forward thinking and quickly became the driving force in the development of the features of EduBinder. She continues to work closely with Ariana and Michelle to develop a set of features that can truly be used in a classroom setting. As our first beta tester, she verified just how easy EduBinder is to use.  Nicole is a strong support of the World Wildlife Fund and other organizations that strive to save our animals from extinction.
